The National Pig Awards is the UK pig industry's big night, showcasing and celebrating excellence and innovation in the British pig industry. Over 11 years and counting, the awards have honoured many individuals and businesses doing great things, often unseen, across the sector, giving them the boost they deserve. Supported by key industry organisations, the National Pig Association, AHDB, the British Pig Association and the Pig Veterinary Society, with ForFarmers as principal sponsor, the National Pig Awards is always one of the highlights of the industry calendar. The only UK awards ceremony entirely devoted to celebrating achievement in the UK pig industry, see the 2025 winners crowned in London in November. As well as celebrating the best of the British pig industry, you can network with old pals or make some new connections, while enjoying a fabulous meal and top-quality entertainment.

It was a great honour to be recognised by my colleagues and friends within the industry. The evening was amazing and was great to see such a passionate industry come together for a lovely evening.

Winner: Young Farm Vet of the Year 2024

It is a great honour to win Herd Productivity of the year, it’s all down to the dedication of the pig unit team at Harper Adams University due to the common goal we all share to succeed and make the unit the best we can. It is a massive boost to staff morale to be recognized nationally. The national pig awards highlight the hard work and dedication of the industry, and I would say to anyone who has a successful pig unit, have a go and enter.

Thank you very much. I am honoured to have won this award. It meant a lot to me to win this award because even though I have only worked in pigs for 5 years and I did not study agriculture at university, I have still been able to build up my knowledge and confidence to the point that I am worthy of winning this award. As a young women, I was also happy to win this award as it highlights to others that a career in the pig industry is not just for men.
